Dear Alumni & Friends, In 1866, Milligan College was founded with the dream of providing a high-quality, Christ-centered education to men and women alike. Although many schools have been started with a similar mission, only a handful of them have remained as true to the ideals of Christian scholarship in the liberal arts as Milligan. Critical to Milligan's adherence to this mission has been the support of the thousands of people just like you. Recently, we announced the Legacy Challenge to grow Milligan's endowment to $200 million by our bicentennial in 2066. Over time, we have discovered that perhaps the best way to increase Milligan's endowment is through estate gifts. As you consider your estate plans, please keep Milligan in your thoughts. In this Web site, you will see a variety of techniques that may be beneficial to you in leaving your legacy at Milligan College. Although most people are not likely to be subject to federal estate taxes, there are a variety of methods by which one can avoid other, more common taxes such as income, capital gain, and the tax on income with respect to a decedent (or IRD).
